Brief:
Create the logo design, style guide, business cards, and website for a physical therapy practice in Houston, TX. The owners were seeking a way to distinguish themselves from their competitors, and demonstrate the ways they are disrupting the industry. They offer both physical therapy, aesthetic services, and even sell medical devices. They provide the “Ultimate Body Rejuvenation Experience”. Rather than charging per service, they charge a flat rate per hour so as to fully provide their clients with whatever treatments and techniques are necessary for their rehabilitation.
Concept:
The challenge for the La Sculp branding was to illustrate the diverse array of services they offer and speak to their very broad target audience. Their clientele ranges from a professional athlete looking to recover from a torn ACL, to a housewife looking to reduce her wrinkles and cellulite, to a medical professional looking to purchase a new device for their office. A key take away from the discovery session with the client was when they said, “we sculpt the body like an artist sculps a piece of marble. We fix broken scars, ligaments, backs, broken bones, faces, skin, and sculpt them into something strong, beautiful, and healthy.” Taking this idea, we drew inspiration from various sculptural structures and forms when it came to the logo mark. We wanted to steer away from a med-spa feel, and instead focus on the companies forward-thinking approach and use of innovative technology. While we wanted to display the company as modern and cutting-edge, we still wanted them to come off as friendly and accessible. The resulting mark is strong and sharp without being severe. The colors are more friendly than serious, and the way they are used illustrates the transformation clients can expect from going to La Sculp.
